I was a huge fan of Marie Osmond's country albums back in the late 80s, and have certainly watched her and her brother, Donny, over the years of on television. Marie has a unique sound that differs from most country or pop artists, and with the release of her new album, "Music is Medicine," it is a breath of fresh air from a music icon with a career spanning over 5 decades.
This is the album I've been waiting for since Marie took a break from country music after releasing only four albums. Now, nearly 30 years later, she's back with what may be her best album yet.
The title cut from the album is catchy, different, and stylistically unique. It is not your typical Marie Osmond sound, but certainly puts a pep in your step and reminds you that when times are tough, music can be medicine to the soul.
Marie, co-founder of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, created a fun and different music video, featuring a robot and glittery aliens who invade one of the hospitals to bring joy to sick kids. The video shows Marie is still an artist and performer, even after 5 decades.
I hope her new song and video inspire you, today, and reminds you joy and laughter is the best medicine.
